One Sentence Stories...








My mouth has lost sorry's shape.


Perhaps the saddest truth to uncover is when you finally feel the warm glow of love hit your face again only to realize the sun it comes from is unobtainable.

She says the word "mom" like it's a three letter afterthought but i hear Mozart.

When he speaks all i hear are the words he walked around.

I use to be proud of the fact she gave up drinking until i realized quitting things was her only accomplishment.

Looking at the picture makes my insides ache and yet I've hung it up where i can see it daily.

He's not half the man i am even when i look down and see breasts.

Adulthood approached when i realized the best revenge for getting dumped was moving on with my life.

Her truth isn't mine, and because of that i will never get to bathe fully in her sunshine.

When people say 'Rules are in place for a reason' I wonder if it feels as stale coming out of their mouth as it does coming into my ears.

Love wasn't build in a day.

When did God become a scapegoat for human cruelty?

Armour


Oh to trust oneself absolutely! I know I cannot. One’s feelings and thoughts flare up like a flame - burn bright and intense until the wind changes and steals strength from its duration…

Ah, but I have chosen my armour carefully and stand erect in a veiled sheet of translucent, thin steel, specially designed by mischievous, smart, feminist fairies with names like “Butch” and “Sundance” and “Thelma” and “Louise” . What them or I won’t readily offer up is the secret no longer a secret that my armour is really the finest cotton and merely tricks the eye and brain into thinking it is A N Y defense against the fine, subtle, cruelties of the powerful heart…

Untrue


Cobalt Blue through icy veins
Runs the gamut cold
Dreams like tears evaporate
Into cruelty's fold
I'm smarter than this fool's role

Second Hand


Time ignores the work I've done,
